Flora Tuminello The art of the painting as pure expression of pleasure. Art as essence to impose its own vision of the world, in which it is still possible to live well, in simple contemplation of beauty. This is the substance of the creative act of Antonio Molinari, in art Aika, artist to the spasmodic search of the beauty, which has only an intent: the contact with the nature. A contact that is expressed through the alive and impassioned experience with the vegetable world, frequent archetype in the work of the painter from San Marino, with a lot of variations, but with a constant nucleus.Aika participates for the first time to this 53rd edition of the biennal exhibition in Venice with a work titled “Reset”: that is in the same time synthesis and exaltation of his artistic growth. A unique exsample of hundred branches that seams to assume a human form in its poetic exposition. This work represents the deep existential fraility of the contempory man, always in contrast with nature: the only way that can be taken to re-birth to a new existence. Awareness of the place, awareness to avoid the absurd compromise: the man is perennial fight against himself. A broken leaf, green and luxuriant leaf, broken hope, metaphor that feeds the dream. Through its poetic evolution, in the meantime simple and bare, full of primordial and absolute contents, the work illuminates the consciences, communicates shouting from its bare image that there is little time. The necessary time to start again a new life. The nature represented by Aika is the most remote and impervious; his figurative art assumes an informal emotional code of pure symbolism bond to the tree, to the forest. It is an art that takes its own life in the colour used as a communicative act itself. The dialog between nature and humanity seems to the continuous; it is full of movement, stroke and lines throw a dialogue bridge between the human one and the not human. Aika does not seek the pure abstract painting; the metaphor proposed by his painting is set as state of mind, simple decorative setting of a difficult day of job, as simple act to colour useful furnishings of the domestic environment: a cup or an internal decoration, simple discipline of the gift. The intent is to make pleasant, and therefore bearable, the daily life that draws its origin in remote times, when the creative act was simple interlude to the survival. For such reason the art in Aika is pure search of the daily life, in the perennial attempt to make it acceptable, in the unique possible way to the man himself: the search of pleasure through the beauty.
Flora Tuminello Appearances and play, surface and deeply is the Aika’s works alias Antonio Molinari from the Republic of San Marino. His landscape proposal reminds to an express symbolism, the one to understand a correlative pictorial object in the apparent yellow spot that defines “the sunflower”. The relation is possible only thanks to the capacity of the stroke and movement that can furnish to the matter.

Annamaria Germani Dear Aika, I have chosen this series (trees) for the colors lot restful, but it seems to me that they are not painted with the spatula as the others…. Even if I find them equally beautiful, because your painting, in my warning, still has not been contaminated from the urgent necessity to follow the currents that today are overlapped with an incredible speed, as it was a competition …. Enough to see in this web those beautiful jobs. In fact I steal many of them, perhaps too many, but sometimes it is hard to distinguish the authors …. Also in photography…. We are losting the taste to savour that feeling of cleaning, of seasons when still they there were, this has given to me your painting …. Thanks!
Mario Massolo Aika, alias Antonio Molinari was born in 1967, citizenship of San Marino, has in his past a still short artistic season even if the passion and the instinct of the painter already arosen during the school time. As he was 25, he felt the necessity and the pleasure to deepen that instinct and he attended a painting course, held from me, where he received lessons of design and color. Now Antonio faces the most difficult examination: the one with people and the critic, therefore he lines up in approximately 30 works his artistic instinct and he presents himself in his first personal exhibition. The thematic are several: between simplest, indispensable for a good learning of the job, the nature and the flowers, which are the first step of difficulty. Immediately after the landscape: and here his tendency to the symbolism. In a series of five works in which the landscape is rough and lacking in pleasant encounter, we find a bare tree; there is also a road…. Sometimes a deep ditch and in the sky of an intense blue, the alarming cloud presence, lived like eyses that watch to you and to which the trees stretch out their branches in the attempt to combine themselves to they. Clear the send-back: the solitary tree represents the author, the road (and in same case the trench) is the life that in some case can e hard, but here there are the branches, the arms or the aspirations, grow tall to touch in the blue sky of hope those looks, as to try an aid to whom have preceded us or to whom has given place to the life. Then the memories emerge, the author proposes us his native country, urgent the thoughts come back when child he lived beside the land with corn fields; the presence of the green and the nature that encircled him give shape to new works. In the last pictures, perhaps most intense, painted instinctively, with expressionistic feeling, where the colors are fixed on the painting by spatula, most intense than the paint-bush, Aika is looking for an approach where the contrast of the colors obtains a liberitarian effect and opens new ways: those that Aika has still to cover. And here my hope to meet him in future with outcomes still better, where it does not come less that tension therefore very good expressed in the last works and that can be the prelude to increasing results. And this is my sincere wish.
